Almost all high schools in the USA discontinued "Home Economics", as well as "Shop" classes decades ago.  Perhaps they figured that young people no longer need to know anything about nutrition, menu planning, shopping, cooking, and other domestic skills.

Yes, a young person can go to a community college and takes a "Culinary Arts" class, but that takes two years and it is significant overkill for the young woman or man that simply wants to feed her/his family and friends.

Why bother?  These are skills that can save you (or your family) thousands of dollars every year.  There are also societal benefits to having a family sharing shopping and cooking tasks and eating breakfast and/or dinner at home.  With a little education, a small amount of creativity, and a desire to build family and friendship connections that will span generations, why not make every meal and adventure.

This class is currently in the planning and scripting development phase.  Check back often to learn when it "goes live".
